Child and Jug (photo Njei M.T.)

The inside part of this jug weaved from spear grass is coated with wax obtained from a tree growing in the wild. Liquids can be conveniently stored and transported in this container. Was used predominantly, in Batibo, Cameroon to carry palm wine. Today the jug is rare and is now used in Batibo mostly to carry wine to go and propose to a future wife.
