This black edible seed grows in the wild in most forest parts of Cameroon. It is prepared by immersing it for a few minutes in warm (not boiling)water. After eating the outer surface, a very hard seed remains that is thrown away. It is commonly called 'black'. 'Ifeut' is the Moghamo name for the fruit.
