The Origin of Toghu and why many people are only knowing it now
Toghu has been existing for over a century in the grassfield area of what is administratively called today North West Region of Cameroon. In the past, it was almost exclusively a ceremonial outfit. Due to the very high cost of production (over 1000 hours of painstaking manual embroidery) only few people could afford it. Remember that the ceremonial outfit is usually a majestic overflowing attire.
Today, as part of the visionary trail blazing generation, we are teaming up with likeminded local designers to innovate and introduce a variety of user friendly versions of the attire while maintaining the characteristic toghu touch.
